War Museum of Traitors
I was very honored to join one of the team with Prof Weijen Wang to design for Jianchuan War Museum in Sichuan, China, together with the world renowned architects Arata Isozaki, Yung Ho Chang etc.
The War Museum of Traitors, is a museum exploring and exhibiting the history of Chinese traitors and masonries during Sino-Japanese War; it also integrates commercial units into the exhibition area. The commercial space and exhibition space are placed and twisted in different ways - parallel, overlapped, crossing each other and coexisting together, all of which echo with the complicated relationship between traitors and government. It also studies about Chinese historical space - alley way, courtyard, podium and streetscape as the main architecture vocabulary. Solid space becomes secondary to the void space in this structure.
